Bushmills Distillery close to the Antrim and Giant’s Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland has long claimed to be the oldest licensed whiskey distillery in Ireland.
Bushmills is famous for its triple-distilled single malts and single malt blended Irish Whiskeys; in particular, their iconic Black Bush blended whiskey which contains whiskeys finished in Oloroso Sherry Casks.
Bushmills have in the past, supplied the single malt components of many other well known Irish Whiskey brands.
Today, whiskey from Bushmills is used in Conor McGregor’s Proper Number 12 blend.
The Bushmills distillery and brand have undergone several changes in ownership in recent years. The most recent change was from Diageo to Jose Cuerva which is a Mexican Tequila brand.
